Paramedics treat injured man outside hotel after attack

Paramedics and police officers are at the scene of an incident outside a Swindon hotel.

Emergency services were called an assault outside the Travelodge on Princes Street in Swindon town centre at 2.40pm this afternoon, 31 May.

A man in his 20s is understood to have been attacked by two other men; one of which made off from the scene on a scooter.

A witness told Wiltshire 999s that a casualty, who looks to be in a serious condition, is being treated outside the hotel on a stretcher.

Sergeant Max Whyte from the town centre policing team said: “We have begun an investigation into this assault which was witnessed by a number of members of the public.

“We are very keen for anyone with mobile phone footage of the assault or any information about the people involved to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
