A person in distress on scaffolding in Swindon has sparked an emergency response this afternoon (Sunday).
Police and specialist firefighters were called to the Paramount Building in Princes Street at around 2pm.
A person, believed to be a male, is understood to be in the midst of a mental health episode high up on the scaffolding.
Spring Gardens and Beckhampton Street have been closed by police. Motorists and pedestrians are unable to pass.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service have numerous appliances on scene — including a rescue unit and an aerial ladder platform.
