Person in distress on multi-storey car park closes Swindon town centre road

Police have closed a road in Swindon as they respond to a welfare incident.

Farnsby Street in the town centre has been shut after at least six police vehicles were sent to reports of a person on a multi-storey car park.

South Western Ambulance Service has also sent a number of resources.

The person – rumoured to be female – is thought to be sat on the edge of the Brunel West car park.


UPDATE 12.20PM: A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently in attendance at the Brunel West car park due to concern for the welfare of a woman there.”
