Pedestrian killed in crash with car while walking on busy road near Salisbury

A man has been killed by a car while walking along a busy road near Salisbury.

Emergency services were called to the serious collision on the A338 at Nunton in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 18 October.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics; it’s believed he was walking along the road with another male before the collision with a vehicle.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses – if anyone saw two men walking along this carriageway between 3.20am and 4.30am today or anything else which could help with our enquiries please contact police on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.”

The A338 in the area of the collision is expected to be closed for most of today.
