Pedestrian suffers injuries on Trowbridge crossing after car ‘jumps red light’

A pedestrian was injured when a car collided with him on a crossing in Trowbridge.

The man was hit by the vehicle at around 9.30am yesterday (29 March) at the traffic lights at the junction of Frome Road and College Road.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, suffered injuries to his knee and shoulder.

PC Callum Davis, from the local policing team, said: “Witnesses have told us that the vehicle left the scene at speed, despite other motorists beeping their horns at him.

“We are appealing for any other witnesses, including anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident or the offending vehicle, to get in touch.”
