Pedestrian hit by van on A362 as police warn motorists to avoid the area

Emergency services are dealing with a serious crash on the A362 this afternoon (Friday).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance and other 999 crews raced to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a van in Lanes End Hill, Corsley Heath, at around 4.15pm.

The road is expected to remain closed for “the next few hours”, according to Wiltshire Police.

In a statement on Facebook, the force asked motorists to “seek alternative routes”.
