Part of Drakes Way in Swindon closed for police investigation as person hit by cyclist

A person’s been seriously hurt after being hit by a cyclist when they alighted a bus in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 6pm this evening.

Two lanes on Drakes Way, in the direction of Queens Drive near Greenbridge, have been sealed off by police officers as a crime scene while they investigate the incident.

Police have confirmed that a passenger was getting off the bus when they were hit by a bicycle.

The passenger was taken to hospital and is believed to have suffered serious injuries.

Specialist officers from Tri-Force Roads Policing Unit are at the scene. They are advising anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them by calling 101 immediately.
