A Melksham man who admitted sexual offences against a child has been banned from his local leisure centre where he once shared a swimming pool and changing room with children.
Kevin Cousins, who for many years worked as a teaching assistant at schools in north Wiltshire, was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register at Swindon Crown Court last week, after he admitted taking photos while he sexually assaulted a child aged between 4-5 years old.
Melksham Blue Pool, where he was a facility member, has today confirmed that Cousins now been banned from the establishment following his recent guilty plea.
A spokesperson said: “We have a zero tolerance policy for criminal behaviour.
“The safety and wellbeing of our customers is our utmost priority and as such we have banned the individual from accessing any of our facilities.”
Cousins is currently on bail, and is due to be sentenced next month; the judge warned him to expected a long jail sentence.
