Overturned lorry causes severe delays on M4 junction in Swindon

An overturned lorry’s causing severe delays on a junction of the M4 in Swindn.

Emergency services are at the scene on the junction 15 roundabout, near the exit for the M4 westbound.

It’s believed to have happened at around 8.30am this morning, with police, fire and ambulance all attending the incident.

The driver of the lorry is trapped inside the cab. Firefighters from Swindon, Stratton and Reading are working to free the driver.

“Traffic currently cannot access the A419 northbound from the westbound M4 or the A346 due to this”, a Highways England spokesperson said.

Motorists should avoid the area and use junction 16 to access Swindon.
