Notices warning that paedophile lives nearby appear at Swindon play park

A number of notices warning people that a paedophile lives in the area have been discovered on lampposts, fences and gates at a children’s play park in Swindon.

It comes after Pinehurst man, 52-year-old Mark Forte of Cunningham Road, pleaded guilty to encouraging the commission of a child sex offence and distribution of an indecent image of a child.

The unofficial notices, which state: “Warning! A convicted paedophile is living in this area”, are believed to have first appeared around the play area and baseball court between Tovey Road and Pinehurst Road last week. They feature the sex offender’s name, address and vehicle*.
