Murder charge against teenage boy dropped in Owen Dunn case

Bristol Crown Court

A murder charge has been dropped against one of the teenage boys accused of killing Owen Dunn.

Following a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Friday (19 May), the case against a 15-year-old boy has been discontinued.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had originally been arrested on suspicion of murder — when he was 14.

This follows the death of 18-year-old Owen Dunn, who died after being stabbed in Mazurek Way, Swindon on December 4 last year.

Two other teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, are due to appear before Bristol Crown Court for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing on 7th July.
