Motorcyclist, 49, suffers serious leg injury in crash with tractor near Minety

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after colliding with a tractor on a country road.

Emergency services raced to the two-vehicle crash on the B4040 at the junction with an unnamed road to Stonehill Wood – between Minety and Charlton – at around 4.30pm this afternoon.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed at the scene with critical care medics providing specialist treatment to a 49-year-old male casualty at the roadside.

He was taken to hospital via land ambulance with a serious leg injury.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire crews – one from Malmesbury and one from Stratton (Swindon) to the incident.
