Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash with car at entrance to Wiltshire shopping centre

A motorcyclist has been seriously hurt in a crash with a car near a shopping centre.

Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision in Minster Street, Wilton, at around 9am this morning (Sunday, 22 May).

Wiltshire 999s understands a motorcycle was involved in an impact with the side of a car on the junction with The Wilton Shopping Village.

The male motorcyclist is believed to have been seriously injured, with a large police and ambulance presence on scene.

The road is closed in both directions between A36 King Street and Silver Street. Police say the road will remain closed for several hours.

“This closure is likely to remain in place for several hours while emergency services deal with the matter”, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.

They added: “Expect delays in the area and drivers should seek an alternative route where possible.
