Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision with pick-up truck in Brinkworth

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a collision involving a pick-up truck.

Emergency services, including Wiltshire Air Ambulance, were called to the incident B4042 in Brinkworth shortly before 3.30pm yesterday (19 June).

A blue Honda motorcycle and a blue Volkswagen Amarok were involved in the crash at the junction with York Lane.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with potentially life-changing injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The road was closed for around six hours – until around 11.30pm last night – while investigation work took place.
