Motorbike seized after suspected drug driver pulls wheelie outside police station

A motorbike was seized after a man was witnessed doing a wheelie outside a police station.

Local police officers were alerted to the ‘high powered’ machine being ridden in a dangerous manner on A345 Salisbury Road at some point today.

When the officers, based at Amesbury Police Station, looked outside they witnessed a motorcyclist performing a wheelie and the biker was pursed before it stopped a short time later.

A man in his 20s, from Durrington, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, no insurance, no MOT and failing a roadside drug test.

The motorbike was also seized following the incident.

Wiltshire Police say their investigation is ongoing.
