Men seen ‘holding down and beating dog’ at roadside in Wiltshire

Police have launched an investigation after reports of two men attacking a dog.

The suspects are alleged to have held down a dog and beaten it at the roadside on the A4 between Beckhampton and Calne on Boxing Day (26 December).

When challenged by a member of the public at around 3.30pm, they claimed their dog was ‘acting up’ – according to a witness who reported the incident to police.
