Two men were arrested during a traffic stop in Devizes on Wednesday.
Officers stopped the vehicle – with two occupants – in New Park Street at just before 5pm.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man Swindon, failed a drugs wipe at the scene and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug driving and driving with no insurance.
The passenger of the car, a 21-year-old man from Devizes, was arrested on suspicion of having a firearm (namely an electroshock weapon, usually known as a taser).
Both have since been released under investigation while police continue their enquiries.
