Man’s death sparks significant emergency services presence in Melksham street

A Melksham street was flooded with blue light vehicles after a man died.

Emergency services rushed to an address in Ingram Road at around 7pm on Saturday evening (28 May) following reports of an unresponsive male.

Despite their best efforts, a man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident a short time later to provide assistance to the ambulance service in removing the man from the property.

Wiltshire Police were also in attendance, with the force confirming it was called to a “sudden death”.

The force also confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
