Man’s body found after police called to concern for welfare in Highworth

A man’s body was found at a house in Highworth after concerns were raised about his welfare.

Police officers are believed to have forced entry to the property in Westrop at around 9.30am this morning (Wednesday).

On arrival, the man – who was aged in his 70s – was found dead at the scene.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Locals report seeing a police presence throughout the day – with a private ambulance arriving mid-afternoon.
