Man’s body discovered after air ambulance scrambled to Devizes home

A man’s body was discovered after an air ambulance was scrambled to a home in Devizes.

Police and paramedics rushed to Sheep Street at around 5.30pm on Sunday evening (5 March) after concerns were raised about the welfare of a resident.

Alongside numerous police units, two double-crewed ambulances, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and an ambulance operations officer attended the scene.

Access was swiftly gained to the property and a man, aged in his 40s, was found dead inside.

Wiltshire Police confirmed there are “not believed to be any suspicious circumstances”. Officers will now prepare a file on behalf of H M Coroner for Wiltshire.
