A man threatening to jump from a car park has been brought down safely.
All three emergency services were called to Sadlers Mead Multi-Storey Car Park, which opened in January, at around 2.40pm this afternoon.
The male was reportedly sat on the edge of the top of the five-storey building in some distress.
Police officers managed to bring him down within 50 minutes of the first 999 call.
Sadlers Mead was closed in both directions – between Esmead and Cockebury Road – whilst 999 crews dealt with the incident.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent one fire crew, a specialist rope rescue unit and a Land Rover to the incident but they were soon stood down.
