Man suffers serious facial injuries after being glassed at pub near Swindon

A man suffered serious facial injuries in an assault at a pub near Swindon yesterday evening.

The ambulance service was called to The Royal George in Pavenhill, Purton at around 6pm, where they found a man with what is being described by police as ‘significant injuries’.

It’s understood the victim was stabbed in the face with a partially smashed bottle in the attack.

Wiltshire Police says a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on bail whilst they continue their investigation.
