Man suffers head injuries during serious assault in Trowbridge street

Police officers were called to an attack on a man in Trowbridge last night.

Initially, South Western Ambulance Service were called to Manor Road at around 11.15pm following reports of an assault on a 39-year-old man.

The man had sustained several wounds to the back of his head and was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath by land ambulance.

Four police vehicles were also seen at an address in Sleightholme Court, less than a mile from the scene, attempting to access a property at around the same time.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who saw two males in the area – one was wearing a baseball cap – between approximately 11pm and 11.30pm.”
