Man stabbed multiple times by gang during electric bike robbery in Swindon

A man was stabbed multiple times during an electric bike robbery in Swindon.

Emergency services responded were called to the incident in Loxley Walk, Park South, shortly before 10.30am this morning (18 August).

A group of four or five males, wearing face coverings, stabbed a man as they attempted to steal his electric bike on a footpath towards Purley Avenue.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds to his legs and arms.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The suspects were able to make off with the man’s blue and grey electric bike.

Detective sergeant James Rodrigues of the Operation Fortitude team said: “Please be reassured that there is no wider risk to the public and we are conducting a thorough investigation to identify those involved.

“Any kind of knife crime is taken incredibly seriously.

“If you have any information that could help us, please contact us on 101 quoting log 89 of today’s date.”
