Man ‘posed as police officer and asked to photograph teen girls’

A man repeatedly posed as a police officer and asked to take photos of girls in Swindon.

Wiltshire Police said the incident happened in Cambria Bridge Place and the Canal Walk area – between approximately 4pm and 4.45pm on 20 June.

It’s alleged a man approached two 17-year-old girls asking to take photos of them and then asked to search their bags, claiming he was a police officer.

Officers now want to talk to the man pictured in connection with the concerning encounter.
