Man left with fractured eye socket after early morning Chippenham assault

A man’s been left with a fractured eye socket following an early morning assault in Chippenham.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was walking along Bath Road near to the Esso Garage at around 2am on Saturday when three people got out of a silver taxi and assaulted him on the garage forecourt.

He sustained an eye injury and attended the Royal United Hospital the following day.

The first man is described as white, approximately 25 years old, 5 ft 9 inches tall with dark brown short hair and of stocky build. He has tattoos on his neck and both arms and was wearing a black t-shirt with white writing.

The second man is described as white, with a nearly bald head, approximately 5 ft 7 inches tall and of skinny build. He was wearing glasses and a white t-shirt.

There is no description of the third suspect.

We’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, including anyone who may have been driving along Bath Road who may have a dashcam fitted to their vehicle which could have captured footage of the three suspects.
