Man, 20s, injured after being attacked by group of children in Salisbury park

A man was injured when he was attacked by a group of children in a Salisbury park.

The incident happened in the Queen Elizabeth Gardens area at around 11pm on Monday (June 27).

A man, aged in his 20s, was left with bruising to his face and ear following what is described as an assault involving a large number of teenage children.

The group were described as being aged between 13 and 15.

The victim was repeatedly assaulted during the incident which started in Queen Elizabeth Gardens before spilling out onto Crane Bridge Road.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “If you heard or saw anything during the time of the incident, or were driving through the area with a dashcam which may have captured relevant footage, please contact South CID by calling 101 and quote the crime reference number of 54220067017.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
