Man hospitalised with serious injuries after attack outside Swindon pub

A man’s been seriously injured in an attack outside The Moonrakers in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around midnight on Friday night/Saturday morning after reports of a man being assaulted by a group of men in the car park.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was hospitalised as a result of the incident. He suffered serious facial injuries which require surgery.

Det Con Mark Harris said: “This was a vicious attack and we would like to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen the assault or a group of men acting suspiciously in this area before or after midnight.

“This is a busy part of town with a busy main road nearby, so someone may have witnessed something. If that was you please come forward.”
