Man hospitalised after van collides with railings on Marlborough Road in Swindon

There were some delays for motorists travelling down Marlborough Road in Swindon this afternoon, after a van collided with railings this morning.

At around 11.20am today, a Peugeot Expert van hit the metal railings outside the Richard Jefferies Museum near Day House Lane junction towards Liddington.

The male driver has sustained head and neck injuries and has been taken to hospital.

Swindon Borough Council attended the scene and made the railings safe.

The road was fulled reopened within two hours.
