Man dies after Wiltshire Air Ambulance tasked to incident in Amesbury

A man has died after Wiltshire Air Ambulance was tasked to an incident in Amesbury.

Emergency services were called to an address in Beacon Close at around 6pm following reports of an unresponsive male.

Locals claim to have seen a significant blue light presence — including multiple ambulances vehicles, a fire engine and several police units.

The air ambulance touched down at Minton Distribution Park before the critical care medics were taken to the scene in a vehicle.

A man, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene, Wiltshire Police confirmed.

The circumstances around the incident are unclear — but witnesses suggest the man was at the wheel of a car when he died.

The force also confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances around the death.
