Man arrested after woman stabbed outside kebab shop in east Swindon

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Swindon yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Cavendish Square in Park South at before 8pm last night, following reports of a serious incident in which a woman was injured.

The 66-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm; he remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station this morning.

The victim was taken to Great Western Hospital with serious injuries; her condition is unknown at this time – but she’s not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
