Man, 30s, sustains serious ear injury in assault in Swindon – as suspect arrested

Police investigating an assault in Old Town, Swindon, are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries to his ear.

The incident happened near Domino’s Pizza on the High Street at approximately 1.30am on July 8.

The victim, a man aged in his 30s, also sustained injuries to his face, arms and legs during the incident.

He was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 GBH with intent and released on bail pending further enquiries.

“We’d urgently like to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident take place”, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.
