Swindon man, 20, charged with having knife charged to appear in court in 2021

A man has been charged with two offences following a stop search in Swindon yesterday.

Jay Livingstone, 20, of Horsham Road, was stop searched by officers in Eldene Drive at approximately 3pm. He was arrested and later charged with possession of a class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon, believed to be a knife.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear in Swindon Magistrates Court on January 19, 2021.

PC Craig Head said: “Knife crime is always a priority for us and taking knives off the street helps us tackle serious and organised crime.

“This arrest follows patrols in the area to crack down on crime in the East Swindon area.”
