Man, 19, charged with drink driving over four vehicle crash in Downton

A 19-year-old man’s been charged following a four-car crash in Downton near Salisbury.

As first reported by Wiltshire 999s, emergency services – including two fire crews – were called to the incident in The Borough at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon.

A house was damaged after a black Vauxhall and black Ford collided in the road. Two parked cars were also damaged in the crash.

Joshua Archer, of Fordingbridge, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He’s been released on unconditional bail to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on 28 August.
