Male threatened with knife in Royal Wootton Bassett play park

Police are investigation after a male was threatened with a knife in Royal Wootton Bassett.

The incident happened at approximately 4.20pm on 29 September at New Road Play Park.

A member of the public called police after witnessing a male being threated with a blade.

Officers attended and carried out “extensive area searches” but were unable to find the suspect.

The victim was also not located by officers in the area.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 5ft 10in tall and wearing all dark blue clothing.

PC Kaisha Thorpe said: “We take reports of this nature seriously and have increased patrols in the area.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with further information, and we’d urge residents living in the New Road area and the Morstone Road area to check their doorbell footage and CCTV cameras for any relevant footage which could assist our enquiries.”
