A usually empty village hall car park — in Frog Lane — is this afternoon full to the brim with Wiltshire Search and Rescue volunteers and police who have been working to locate Bethany since early this morning.

The police helicopter was overhead in the area at around 5am this morning, thought to be assisting with the search but now a specialist UAV pilot from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service has been flying a drone overhead.

It appears the search has so far been centred around nearby woodlands and the canal.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “She is described as white, 5ft 4ins, with blonde and pink hair. She was last seen wearing black jeans and a beige fleece jacket.

“Anyone with information as to Bethany’s whereabouts should call us immediately on 101 and quote reference number 54200000902.”
