Major search operation underway for missing 15-year-old from Swindon

UPDATE: Theresa has been found safe, Wiltshire Police say.

A major search operation is underway in Swindon as police look for a missing 15-year-old girl.

Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) volunteers have been dispatched to assist in looking for Theresa Nidecka this afternoon as a police dog and drone work in, and above, Stratton Wood.

A large number of police officers were seen patrolling the Kingsdown area since around 3pm.

Theresa is described as white, approximately 5 ft 2 inches tall, with long brown hair. It’s believed she is wearing a jacket and blue jeans with black trainers. She is believed to be carrying a rucksack.

A police spokesperson said: “We are concerned about Theresa’s welfare and would urge anyone with information to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting log 134 of today.

“We’d also like to appeal to Theresa direct – if you are reading this appeal, please get in touch with a family member or call us on 101.”
