Loud bangs and bright flashes spark emergency response in quiet Trowbridge street

Loud bangs have sparked an emergency response in Trowbridge tonight.

The cause of the incident is thought to be a substation fire; local residents say they heard loud ‘explosions’ and saw bright flashes minutes before the fire service arrived.

An alleyway leading to a field on Shore Place has been sealed off with ‘do not cross’ tape.
