Large emergency services response to serious medical incident in Trowbridge

A large number of emergency services are currently attending an incident in Trowbridge.

999 crews were called to the scene in College Road at around 11.35am this morning following reports of a medical incident at a private address.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service have a heavy rescue unit, specialist rescue unit and a fire crew in attendance.

The fire service response suggests a complex rescue within the property – for example, a casualty may need urgent treatment but is within the loft or upstairs room.

Whilst South Western Ambulance Service have multiple resources at the scene – including three ambulances and two rapid response vehicles (RRVs).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance also attended the incident in a helicopter and an RRV.

Police are also in attendance but have told Wiltshire 999s the incident is a medical matter.

The incident remained ongoing at the time of the publishing (12.55pm).
