Jason Ranford charged with defrauding eight victims out of thousands

Jason Ranford has been charged with defrauding eight victims out of over £8,000.

The 36-year-old appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday) via video link from Erlestoke Prison.

Crown prosecutor Keith Ballinger alleged the defendant used the credit cards of two people to book holidays valued at over £1,000.

He’s also said to have bought boxing tickets on Gumtree for £1,000 but never paid up.

Other allegations include using his customers’ bank details to make purchases, booking a holiday with a fake card and selling FA Cup final tickets that the customer did not receive.

The alleged offending is said to have taken place between February 2017 and March 2018.

He gave no indication of pleas and the case was sent to Swindon Crown Court on 24 March.
