Jack Russell killed in dog attack in Westbury – police launch investigation

A dog has died after being attacked by another dog in Westbury.

Jack Russell Toby was savagely killed in the incident on a footpath in the Penleigh Road area on Saturday afternoon (29 January).

Wiltshire Police has launched an investigation into the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We aware of local community concern regarding an incident in Westbury over the weekend.

“We can confirm that we have received a report of a Jack Russell dog being attacked by another dog in the Leigh Park area.

“The injured dog sadly died as a result of the incident, which happened on Saturday afternoon (29/01).

“We are carrying out enquiries and would ask anyone with information to call us on 101, quoting reference 54220010227.”
