Huge police presence in west Swindon as air ambulance medics battle to save patient

Ten police units were called to an address in west Swindon last night, as medics worked to save a life.

Five ambulance vehicles – including a paramedic officer car and another carrying two critical care paramedics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance – attended the scene at around 5.30pm today, 23 December.

The medical incident was inside a block of flats on Walter Close, where a person was pronounced dead.

The road was blocked by the emergency services until around 7pm.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the death, and said it is not being treated as suspicious.
