Huge emergency response as woman is taken into ambulance near Salisbury crime scene

A woman has been taken into an ambulance on Castle Street in Salisbury.

Emergency services, including HAART medics and a dozen firefighters, attended Sarum House – understood to be an office building – at just before 1pm this afternoon.

This incident’s just metres from Zizzi, which is sealed by police officers as part of the ongoing investigation into the suspected poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter.

An operational support unit and two fire engines from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, arriving on blue lights and sirens.

A worker at Sarum House posted on social media that there’s ‘no reason to be alarmed’.

The world’s press, including around 40 journalists and photographers, are now outside.
