During the hearing at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court today (Friday), crown prosecutor Patrick Schneider said the images included the penetration of young children.

The 37-year-old was caught with a total of 3,506 still and moving images – of which 742 were described as being in Category A, depicting the most serious abuse.

Due to the serious nature of the offending, little detail was heard and the case was sent to Salisbury Crown Court for sentencing. A pre-sentence report was ordered.

The defendant, of Grist Court, Bradford on Avon, appeared relatively upbeat in the dock before he was released on unconditional bail.
