Four people arrested after hit-and-run ‘disorder’ in Royal Wootton Bassett

Four people have been arrested following an incident in Royal Wootton Bassett.

Police were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Longleaze at around 9.15pm on Easter Sunday (9 April).

The driver of the vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene – with the victim, aged in his 30s, sustaining leg injuries.

A 23-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after an accident, dangerous driving, and driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as driving without a licence or insurance. He has been released on bail.

Officers also arrested a 25-year-old woman and two 35-year-old men arrested on suspicion of affray.
