Forensics continue work inside Swindon flat as murder investigation launched

Forensics are continuing work at the scene of a suspected murder in Swindon.

A murder investigation was launched by Wiltshire Police on Thursday after a man was found dead at a flat in Galsworthy Close, Liden.

South Western Ambulance Service was called to the incident at around 8.30am where paramedics pronounced the male, in his 40s, deceased at the scene.

This afternoon, two forensic investigators remained working within the upstairs flat in the quiet cul-de-sac.

PCSOs and police officers continue to guard the major crime scene as local residents, including a young girl, place flowers on a bench nearby.
