Firefighters called in after horse falls through bridge in Wiltshire village

Firefighters were called in to rescue a horse following an incident in a Wiltshire village.

Crews from three counties were sent to the scene in Sherrington, a small village located mid-way between Warminster and Salisbury, on Sunday.

The firefighters, from Warminster, Hampshire and Somerset, worked to free to horse from the bridge.

The rescue led to a “good outcome” for the horse, a fire spokesperson confirmed.
