The news comes just two days after firefighters from three counties battled a hay barn blaze in the the village, but it’s not clear if that incident is being treated as arson.

Commenting on Facebook, a fire service spokesperson said: “If you have any information on this incident that might be useful, please contact 101. Thank you and stay safe.”

Ramsbury Fire Station also confirmed that no livestock were affected by the blaze, as smoke was blown in the opposite direction to the horses and stables nearby.
