Family pay tribute to Somerset cyclist found dead in Wiltshire countryside

The family of a man who died whilst riding his bicycle in the countryside have paid tribute to him.

85-year-old Graham Atkinson, from Frome, was staying with his family in Seend during the coronavirus lockdown but sadly died while taking his daily exercise in the Wiltshire countryside.

His body was found by a member of the public in Row Lane at around 10am on Monday morning.

The family’s tribute reads as follows:

“We mourn the sudden loss of Graham, our dear brother.

“No longer will we hear his gentle voice and infectious laughter. He was such a popular, fun loving and outgoing person, the world was truly his oyster.

“He travelled the globe making many friends along the way.

“All of us, whether at home or abroad, will miss him greatly. He will be in our hearts forever.

“Rest in peace dear brother.”
