Officers found the woman’s body and there were no signs of life; she was subsequently pronounced dead.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent one crew to the incident at 11pm – but further details about why firefighters were required are unknown at this stage.

The British Transport Police confirmed that “sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene”, adding that the death is “not being treated as suspicious.”

It’s believed the fatal incident is being treated as suicide but it’s for the coroner to determine the cause of death at the inquest.
